After a messy split with vocalist John Robert Centorrino, Japanese metalcore outfit Crystal Lake took to touring with a series of fill-in performers that included members of Volumes, Secrets and Enterprise Earth.

They’ve now just announced that they’ve locked in a permanent vocalist to fill that role, having just confirmed PK of Prompts as their new frontman.

PK himself said of his new role:

“I’m PK, and I’m honored to officially join Crystal Lake as a full member.

One of the biggest reasons I decided to move from Korea to Japan and continue pursuing music was Crystal Lake.

I’ve loved and respected this band for as long as I can remember. Having been born and raised in Korea, I also understand just how significant Crystal Lake is—not only in Japan, but to the music scene across Asia.

That’s why becoming their official vocalist comes with a great sense of responsibility and pressure.

At the same time, I’m confident that I can carry that weight and continue moving forward.

I will never lose sight of the respect I have for everything Crystal Lake has built over the years. At the same time, I want to leave my own mark on the band by bringing what only I can do and creating what only I can create as part of the next chapter of Crystal Lake.

With determination, I’m ready to move forward together with this band.

I hope you’ll continue to support Crystal Lake in this new era.”

Fans can soon catch Crystal Lake out with PK behind the mic on Fear Factory‘s upcoming European/UK headlining tour, which in addition to Crystal Lake, will also see Hate and the Nocturnal Affair on the bill. Those dates include:
