Gold-certified nü-metal band Coal Chamber and alternative metal outfit Gemini Syndrome have dropped off of this year’s ‘Louder Than Life‘ festival in Louisville, KY. Interestingly guitarist Meegs Rascon is a member of both of those outfits. Thus far neither group appears to have commented on the scheduling changes.
Organizers for the annual festival however confirmed the shuffle yesterday, June 10th, adding Dead Poet Society, No Resolve and Freeze The Fall to the bill in light of the vacated slots. Coal Chamber returned to the stage this spring for a trio of festival performances, marking their first time onstage since 2024. As it turned out, those shows also served as the band’s first since their drummer Mikey “Bug” Cox had privately battled cancer.
This year’s ‘Louder Than Life‘ festival will take over the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, KY from September 17th to 20th. Featured headliners include Iron Maiden, Tool, Limp Bizkit and My Chemical Romance.
