Colepitz have returned with a brand new single in the form of “End Of Everything“. This comeback track was self-produced by the band and is premiering exclusively below. Engineering for the song was done by Jonathan Wyman at The Halo studio in Windham, ME.
The nü-metal/alternative metal vets had Sky Van Hoff (Sleep Token, Rammstein) mix it — a decision reached after being impressed by his work on Sleep Token‘s 2021 sophomore album “This Place Will Become Your Tomb“.
A forthcoming third studio album from Colepitz is tentatively expected this fall and will arrive as their first full-length offering in roughly sixteen years. Notably, that record will feature some writing contributions from Dave Gutter of fellow Maine residents, Rustic Overtones.
As for this just debuted single, the band collectively commented:
“‘End Of Everything‘ is the first thing people are going to hear from this record and we wanted it to hit like a door coming off its goddamn hinges. It’s about the moment you realize something is gone for good and you stop bullshitting otherwise. Sky Van Hoff mixed it and when we heard it back we knew the record was exactly what it was supposed to be.”
Colepitz‘s current roster includes vocalist/guitarist Rob Korhonen, guitarist Ray Suhy (Six Feet Under, etc.) and drummer Shane Kinney. You can keep up on their current happenings via colepitz.com.
