A Static Lullaby have released live footage of their new in-studio performance of their 2003 debut album “…And Don’t Forget To Breathe“. The Californian post-hardcore group marked the 25th anniversary of that record by entering the studio to revisit it at Straitjacket Studios in Fullerton, CA for this performance.
While the audio of that is now available on streaming services, the band have also shared the below footage of the album performance as well. The band previously stated of this trip down memory lane:
“Celebrating 25 years as a band, we wanted to go back to the songs that started it all. After playing a few full-album shows, we realized we wanted to share that experience with everyone. If we couldn’t make it to your city to play it for you live, we could at least bring it into your living room and let you share that moment with us.
So we filmed it and recorded it live in the studio.
It’s been a while since we were fully active as a band, and we wanted to reintroduce ourselves to our fans and community through the familiar sound of an album that helped shape a post-hardcore/emo scene that has now become very much mainstream.
This live album is nostalgic for us, but it also feels new. We’re grown-ass men playing songs we wrote when we were 18, and somehow they still feel fresh and just as relevant today.
This isn’t a ‘remember us?’
It’s a ‘we’re back,’ and we’re genuinely excited to share what’s coming next.'”
