Californian post-hardcore band A Static Lullaby will be issuing a new live in the studio re-recording of their 2003 debut effort, “…And Don’t Forget To Breathe” on May 15th via Smartpunk Records. This new outing has been titled “…And Don’t Forget To Breathe (Live)” and it found the band entering Straitjacket Studios in Fullerton, CA to celebrate their 25th anniversary with a live in-studio performance of the record in its entirety. The band had the following to say about that:

“Celebrating 25 years as a band, we wanted to go back to the songs that started it all. After playing a few full-album shows, we realized we wanted to share that experience with everyone. If we couldn’t make it to your city to play it for you live, we could at least bring it into your living room and let you share that moment with us.

So we filmed it and recorded it live in the studio.

It’s been a while since we were fully active as a band, and we wanted to reintroduce ourselves to our fans and community through the familiar sound of an album that helped shape a post-hardcore/emo scene that has now become very much mainstream.

This live album is nostalgic for us, but it also feels new. We’re grown-ass men playing songs we wrote when we were 18, and somehow they still feel fresh and just as relevant today.

This isn’t a ‘remember us?’
It’s a ‘we’re back,’ and we’re genuinely excited to share what’s coming next.'”
