Power Trip have been in the studio recently (see below) with producer Jacob Hansen (The Black Dahlia Murder, Arch Enemy). This past March the Texan crossover band signed a deal with Blue Grape Music. These recent sessions, which were taking place as recently as month, will represent the band’s first body of work since the 2020 death of their frontman Riley Gale from an accidental overdose. Skourge‘s Seth Gilmore has since taken on the vocal duties for the group.
Meanwhile, the roster for the 2026 ‘Infest‘ festival in Edmonton, AB has begun rolling out and Power Trip are currently among the biggest names booked. This year’s third annual event has been slated for September 04th to 06th. A pre-sale will launch via infest.ca this coming Tuesday, May 19th at 10:00am MST with the password ‘Infest’. The general onsale will be up a day later, May 20th, at 10:00am MST as well. So far, bands confirmed to play include:
