Stalwart metalcore outfit Converge have begun streaming their new single “Doom In Bloom“. That song is the second track to make it out from the group’s upcoming second new album of 2026, “Hum Of Hurt“. However, fans who caught the band live in the spring of 2025 may remember being first introduced to this track then.
Speaking of it now, Converge vocalist Jacob Bannon offered:
“It’s dark and pointed right at you. Lyrically, I’m exploring how my own middle-aged introspection doesn’t always bring a brighter light. I see my own trappings reflected in those around me. Here I am imploring them to slip the noose to see another day.”
George Gallardo Kattah directed the below video that accompanies the song. With a number of years lapsing between albums,. Converge banked up a surplus of new material by the time they hit the studio to begin laying it down, with their efforts resulting in this past February’s new album “Love Is Not Enough” and this forthcoming effort, which they will have out on June 05th via Epitaph Records.
