Dance Gavin Dance‘s ‘Tree City Sessions‘ in-studio live series is officially a trilogy. The first entry in that series arrived a decade ago, with the second surfacing in late 2020. Both of those outings found the band recording live at Pus Cavern Recording Studios in the gold-certified post-hardcore band’s hometown of Sacramento, CA. This new 12-song outing is set to meet a May 22nd release date and can be pre-ordered via DanceGavinDance.lnk.to/TC3.
A new in-studio recording of “Need Money“, a song originally taken from the band’s fourth studio album “Downtown Battle Mountain II“, is the first track out from this collection of re-recorded songs. The band’s vocalist Jon Mess briefly commented, “‘Need Money‘ is an underrated song.
