Drowning Pool have announced a June 05th release for a 25th anniversary edition of their platinum-certified 2001 debut album “Sinner“. A nü-metal staple, this hit record afforded the band a meteoric rise, with its platinum-certified lead single “Bodies” and its second single, “Tear Away“, remaining the most popular tracks the Texan outfit have released to date. In addition to new limited edition vinyl pressings, an expanded digital edition of this record is being readied as well.
Included as bonus material are a trio of previously released soundtrack cuts, including “The Man Without Fear” — a pairing with industrial metal icon Rob Zombie that was included on the soundtrack to the 2003 Ben Affleck-starring ‘Daredevil‘ film. Also featured is ex-Nine Inch Nails, etc. member Chris Vrenna‘s ‘XXX Tweaker Mix‘ of “Bodies“. That remix originally appeared on the soundtrack for the 2002 Vin Diesel action film ‘xXx‘.
A demo version of the song “Break You” has also been tacked on. That “Sinner” b-side was featured on the soundtrack to the 2002’s ‘The Scorpion King‘ — an offshoot of ‘The Mummy‘ franchise starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. This demo version was previously released on the ‘Unlucky 13th Anniversary Deluxe Edition’ of “Sinner“.
