Balmora‘s debut album “These Graven Halls” will receive a May 29th release through DAZE. That metalcore outfit revamped their lineup earlier this year, instating vocalist Paul Cole of Since My Beloved, Wings Of Kynareth, etc. fame in place of Chris “Senti” Misenti.
The song “Ophelia” has just made it out from this forthcoming record and it features Holder‘s Brie Percy guesting on vocals. Balmora guitarist Jay Torbla said of it:
“‘Ophelia‘ is a story of betrayal, heartbreak, revenge, and forgiveness. It’s meant to highlight the nature of initial anger, action, and remorse in a hanging balance system.”
A press release for “These Graven Halls” noted the wide gamut of sonic inspiration for this record, stating, ‘Influences pull from the obvious like The Black Dahlia Murder and On Broken Wings to a mix of media, classical, and modern music – ‘Requiem For A Dream‘, ‘Silent Hill‘, Philip Glass, Bladee‘
