Kittie vocalist Morgan Lander has unveiled her new ‘orchestral darkwave’ project Winterlvst. A social media post announcing the project indicates that it has been gestating for a decade. Songwriting credits for this lead track reveal that Blackguard drummer Justine Ethier and keyboardist/synth player Jonathan Lefrançois-Leduc contributed to the track, as did ex-Vehemal vocalist Martine Bourque.
The band’s social media however lists Lander, Leduc and Ethier as the group’s core lineup. A debut album from Winterlvst, “Awakening“, will be out on April 03rd, while a first single, “Broken Lines“, is now streaming in advance. Lander and Blackguard have had a long history together, as she guested on their 2019 track “By My Hand“. She also joined Ethier in the band Karkaos.
