Power Trip have signed a new deal with Blue Grape Music for their eagerly anticipated sonic return. The Texan crossover band were dealt a heavy blow in 2020 when their frontman Riley Gale died from an accidental overdose. After taking three years off, the group began to toy with reuniting, bringing in Skourge‘s Seth Gilmore to fill-in on vocals for a surprise show.
In the year’s since they’ve played numerous shows with that roster and are now setting their sights on putting out their first new music since losing Gale. At the moment, the band have unveiled their plans in a new May 2026 cover story for Decibel, which you can order here.
However, Blue Grape Music have just confirmed the addition of the group to their roster via their social media below. Formed by veterans of Roadrunner Records, Blue Grape Music previously signed Power Trip offshoot Fugitive in May of 2025.
We’re stoked to announce @powertriptx are joining the Blue Grape Music crew. Check out the new cover story in the latest issue of @dbmagazine.https://t.co/swQ1W1qxbF pic.twitter.com/LXcdotZr64
