While Limp Bizkit vocalist Fred Durst remains most infamously known as the poster boy of the late 90s/early 00s nü-metal scene, his passion for directing films remains in place. Cutting his teeth with various music videos for both his own band and the likes of Staind, Korn and more, Durst would go on to direct a number of feature-length films, including :’The Education Of Charlie Banks‘ starring Jesse Eisenberg, ‘The Longshots‘ starring Ice Cube and ‘The Fanatic‘ starring John Travolta.
Per recent posts on social media, it would appear that should Durst get his way, a new horror film could be his next project. Inspired by the recent film adaptation of the 2022 video game ‘Iron Lung‘ overseen by YouTuber Markiplier, Durst recently made some social media comments indicating his hopes to break into that horror genre. He made the following posts regarding that:
I want to follow these footsteps for my next film

Durst also had the following reply for Jason Blum, founder and CEO of Blumhouse Productions regarding some recent successful horror films:
?????????? I’ve got one ready to go!!

Durst somewhat recently sunk his teeth into the horror genre as an actor, landing parts in the A24 film ‘I Saw The TV Glow‘ and playing himself in the teen horror comedy ‘Y2K‘.
