God Forbid have released a new mini-documentary reflecting on 20 years of their fourth studio album “IV: Constitution Of Treason“. Chris Aballo (The Out) was tasked with directing, producing, shooting and editing that feature, which you can watch below. According to a press release:
‘Through new interviews with band members Doc Coyle, Byron Davis, John Outcalt and Corey Pierce, along with backstage footage and unseen photographs, this documentary provides an intimate look at the band in 2005 as well as 2025, including their experience of touring as part of Ozzfest in 2004, how writing and recording this album was a leveling up for them, their 2022 resurrection and what it feels like to return to New Jersey in this new phase.’
This doc arrives just as God Forbid are preparing to celebrate that anniversary onstage via a trio of shows. Those performances will be headlined by Darkest Hour, who themselves will be marking their 30th anniversary. Metalcore outfit Overcast (Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall) will now be opening a pair of those dates. They replace Nora on the bill, who had to drop off in light of unforeseen circumstances.
