Shields‘ song “Parasites” has arrived as the latest single from the British metalcore band’s upcoming new album “Death & Connection“. You can check out this latest track below, with that aforementioned album on course for a January 30th release through Long Branch Records. As for the band’s thoughts on the track, vocalist Joe Edwards offered:
“‘Parasites‘ is about the experience of sinking into depression and the warped internal relationship that develops within that state. Originally a rock song from a previous project, ‘Parasites‘ was repurposed for our album. As the original track already had dark undertones, it was easy to re-frame it in moody industrial arrangements, allowing for a wide range of dynamic shifts between sections.”
