Grindcore outfit Rotten Sound have announced a December 12th release date for their new EP, “Mass Extinction“. Season Of Mist will be handling the release of this effort from the Finnish outfit, with a video for the new track “Brave New World” having just arrived. Speaking collectively on this freshly debuted onslaught, the band stated:
“This is one of the most aggressive songs on our new EP. ‘Brave New World‘ is about how misinformation, polarization, conspiracy theories and censorship has lead people into a state of distrust. Our strong sense of community has been replaced by skepticism and fear. The fight for coherent and reliable information is now a constant struggle.”
The creative process for this upcoming 8-song outing holds ties to the same sessions that birthed the group’s 2023 full-length outing “Apocalypse“. As for the overall vision for this effort, vocalist Keijo Niinimaa stated, “We like to make concise statements. Bringing about real meaningful change seems to take forever. Misinformation, polarization, conspiracy theories and censorship have made everyone more distrustful.”
