Stephen Brodsky has put up a newly re-mixed version of his acoustic take on Sense Field‘s “Voice“. The Cave In, Mutoid Man, etc. frontman began sharing a series of acoustic covers of 90s hardcore, metalcore, etc. tracks via his socials earlier this year.
He has since given them a proper mix and will release those sonically enhanced versions as “Cut To The Core Vol. 1” on Halloween, October 31st. His stripped down takes on songs originally done by Converge, Snapcase, Into Another and more all appear on that compilation.
Regarding this particular rendition, Brodsky offered, “Endless thanks to a band that dared make such dreamy goodness in the face of what surrounded them at the time, and respect to Revelation Records for standing behind it.”
Brodsky will also be playing a series of shows around that effort, dates include:
11/01 Rowley, MA – YMCA of the North Shore
11/02 Philadelphia, PA – Milkboy (feat. Sadie Dupuis)
11/20 Brooklyn, NY – TV Eye (feat. Scout Paré Phillips & Chris Brokaw)
11/21 Baltimore, MD – Holy Frijoles (feat. Darkest Hour‘s Mike Schleibaum & John Henry playing an acoustic set)
