Soulfly and Nails‘ Todd Jones are back in the saddle together. Back in 2019 Nails enlisted Soulfly, etc. vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera to guest on their track “Endless Resistance“. While the two parties have also teamed up to cover Sepultura live, Nails‘ Todd Jones can now be heard guesting on Soulfly‘s just released new single “Nihilist“. That song arrives as the third advance single from Soulfly‘s forthcoming new album “Chama“, which will be out through Nuclear Blast on October 24th.
Costin Chioreanu (At The Gates, Katatonia) directed the below music video for the track, which was inspired by the LG Petrov of Entombed, Nihilist, etc. fame. Cavalera stated:
“My lyrics are inspired by LG of Entombed and Nihilist. He left this earth in 2021 and he was always a big influence on me. This is one of the heaviest songs on the record and I love the fact that we went to Bulgaria to make the video. Todd Jones of Nails is the special guest on the song, delivering the hardest line on the record. ‘I don’t believe in anything!’”
Soulfly guitarist Mike DeLeon added:
