Texan alternative metal outfit Flyleaf have racked up a trio of new single certifications in the United States. All three tracks served as singles from the band’s 2005 platinum-certified self-titled album. The lead single off of that record, “I’m So Sick“, has officially gone gold, platinum and 2x platinum as of September 05th.
“Fully Alive“, which was the second single from the record, has newly been certified gold and platinum. And finally, “All Around Me“, the third single from that album, has newly hit 4x multi-platinum status. It was last certified platinum back in January of 2010.
*A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit. 150 streams of a song also equate to a track-equivalent unit.
