Goth metallers Paradise Lost‘s new single “Tyrants Serenade” has just come to light, emerging as the third single from the band’s next studio album, “Ascension“. While there’s still a bit of a wait between now and that album’s scheduled September 19th release date, you can pass the time with the below new music video for this track, which was once again shot with director Ash Pears (Bloodbath, Katatonia).
Vocalist Nick Holmes expounded on the meaning behind the song, offering the following statement:
“Observing the death of an individual, and subsequently, how the transition of seasons evokes fond memories. The God of Malevolence serves as an internal voice to dismantle those cherished memories and reintroduces the initial anguish of loss.”
