The Grindmother is set to play two final shows following a seven-year hiatus. Sadly, these final performances follow a recent diagnosis of dementia for the unlikely 77-year-old grind vocalist. This sendoff will take place December 05th at Club Soda in Montreal, QC and December 06th at The Concert Hall in Toronto, ON with Cattle Decapitation, Aborted, Frozen Soul and Tribal Gaze also on the bill.

Her son and bandmate, Rayny Forster told Metal Injection of this last live hurrah:

“We wanted her to have a proper farewell for the fans she loves more than anything. We’re beyond thankful to Travis Ryan and Cattle Decapitation for the opportunity to bring her in front of such a large audience. And of course, to our fellow Canadian grindcore family in Fuck The Facts [Topon Das and Mathieu “Vil” Vilandré will be joining the mother and son duo onstage] who have graciously accepted the call. This will be a great celebration.”

These will be her final live appearances, but it won’t be the last you’ll hear from us. We’re working on new music, and there’s a lot more to come.”
