A recent benefit shirt launched by mathcore outfit The Callous Daoboys raised just over $19,000 for the Immigrant Defense Project. That shirt was launched in protest of the immigration raids being conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as of late.
The ongoing shift in immigration policy under the administration of U.S. President Donald J. Trump hit a flashpoint this month, after Trump called in the National Guard and Marines to assist with protests amid the raids in the Los Angeles, CA area. The Callous Daoboys didn’t dance around their stance on the issue, adorning the back of their benefit shirt with the phrase ‘Fuck I.C.E.’.
