Fan-filmed footage of PRESIDENT‘s entire first-ever live performance has now arrived online. The masked outfit delivered a 5-song set for that opening ‘rally’, as they’ve taken to calling their concerts. The reported setlist for that show, which took place this past Sunday, June 15th as part of this year’s ‘Download Festival‘ in Castle Donington, UK, saw not only the live unveiling of the band, but also the premiere of three as-yet unreleased tracks.
Those songs were reportedly titled “Dionysus“, “Rage” and “Destroy Me“. The group’s two previously released singles “Fearless” and “In The Name Of The Father” were also played. Thus far, PRESIDENT‘s cryptic rollout, which bears a similar promotional presentation to that of breakout U.K. alternative metal stars Sleep Token, appears to have found PRESIDENT on a fast track to success. It should be noted that the group also share management with the latter outfit.
If you haven’t been keeping tabs, much has also been said about the identity of PRESIDENT‘s vocalist. All signs continue to point to Charlie Simpson Fightstar/Busted fame being the masked frontman. However, the band themselves have pushed back against those assumptions.
