The Used vocalist Bert McCracken is set to put out a book based around the band’s platinum-certified sophomore album “In Love And Death“. Dubbed ‘In Love and Death: The Lost Notebook‘, Rare Bird Books will be publishing that read on November 04th.
It will center around handwritten lyrics, poems, sketches and personal reflections originally penned in a long-lost notebook he kept during the album’s original cycle. McCracken went on recently rediscover that notebook and had the following to say of translating it to this package:
“This notebook is a time capsule. It’s a snapshot of who I was, what I went through, and how those emotions turned into the music we made. Getting it back brought a rush of memories—pain, joy, chaos, and everything in between.”
He continued:
“I never thought I’d publish a book—unless it was weird, postmodern fiction. But when I found this notebook again, I knew I had to share it. I was fearless then. And there’s magic in what survived.”
Pre-orders can be found through rarebirdlit.com. That book is not the only literary pursuit from the post-hardcore/emo rockers planned for this though, as a graphic novel based around the music video for the “In Love And Death” single “All That I’ve Got” is is headed for September.
