The Identity Of PRESIDENT's Singer Has Seemingly Been Confirmed By His Bracelets

While the identity of the singer of fledgling alternative metal band PRESIDENT appears to be an open secret, the band themselves threw fans a recent curveball with the unmasking featured in the video for their track “Fearless“. Charlie Simpson of Fightstar/Busted fame has long been thought to be fronting the outfit, who have been creating early buzz thanks to some clever marketing and managerial ties to current British alternative metal stars Sleep Token.

Perhaps the most damning piece of evidence indicating Simpson is indeed fronting the band came about during the band’s first-ever ‘rally’ at yesterday’s June 15th, ‘Download Festival‘ at Castle Donington. During that set (see footage here) fans noted a pair of bracelets being worn by the band’s masked singer, which not so coincidentally have also been seen on the wrist of Simpson before.

Furthermore, diehard fans of Simpson claim to have noticed members of his immediate family sidestage during yesterday’s live debut. As it currently stands, the band are next set to perform live July 30th at The Garage in London, UK with synth rock duo Zetra opening.
