Dying Fetus and Suicide Silence have been on the receiving end of criticism from some fans for signing on as support for Slaughter To Prevail‘s early 2026 European/UK tour. Criticism directed towards the two support bands has been multi-faceted, with some upset over choosing to work with Slaughter To Prevail‘s Alex Terrible, in light of past allegations. Other meanwhile, have written off the Russian deathcore mob as having yet earned the right to headline over the respective death metal veterans and pioneering deathcore outfit.
Terrible himself responded to the backlash earlier this month, stating:
“I went to @suicidesilence and @dyingfetusofficial pages and read all hate comments from people. They mad about our own headline tour
Listen I grew up with suicide silence music and never imagined they will open for my band. To be honest I still don’t know how to react for this and for me personally I prefer touring without any support bands. Just us and we did it a lot of times already and sell out big Venues which is very very good. But people always complained it was just us and they want more. Well our team worked it out and asked sick bands to tour with us and now people complain this band touring with us coz of US in our own tour WHAT THE FFFFFF”
Now, in a new video discussion shared by Suicide Silence, the band addressed the backlash head-on, with vocalist Eddie Hermida stating, “Every single person talking shit is going to be going to at these fucking shows.” He went on to say [transcribed by theprp.com]:
“Look, anybody who is doubting. Anybody who says that Suicide or Dying Fetus need to be above Slaughter To Prevail, just go to a Slaughter show; Look at how many people they fucking draw. It is a fucking honor to be on tour with them. It is fucking cool to see a younger band taking the reigns of deathcore and taking it way further than we ever did. like, this is a proud moment for us. And if you fucking think otherwise, fuck you.”
Guitarist Mark Garza later added, “For some people that don’t know, some of these shows are arenas, because Slaughter is that big. Regardless what you think about them or say about them, they’re fucking doing it man.” He later went on to add, “the real world and the comments are two different worlds. You can talk shit on them all you want, but there’s arenas on the fucking tour, that’s crazy.”
