Alex Terrible Reacts To Backlash Dying Fetus & Suicide Silence Are Receiving Over Their Upcoming Tour With Slaughter To Prevail

Russian deathcore band Slaughter To Prevail‘s rise to prominence among the deathcore scene hasn’t come without controversy. Much of that backlash stems from the past actions and comments of the band’s vocalist Alex Terrible. In his younger years, Terrible previously associated with fascist circles, going so far as to get a black sun tattoo, a Nordic pagan symbol often associated with Nazism. Past commentary made by Terrible on social media has also seen him being accused of being homophobic/transphobic.

In a December 2023 video, Terrible addressed both of those accusations, denying that he currently harbors any fascist/Nazi beliefs, while also writing off his past divisive commentary on ‘real men’ as a misinterpreted joke.

Regardless, Terrible remains a divisive figure, and outside of the expected detractors of Slaughter To Prevail‘s music that comes with the territory, that controversy that continues to linger around Terrible has also trickled down to band’s who have opted to tour with his band.

Stalwart death metal group Dying Fetus, pioneering deathcore outfit Suicide Silence and British death metallers Annotations Of An Autopsy are the latest artists to be on the receiving end of that backlash, having signed on as support for Slaughter To Prevail‘s early 2026 European/UK tour.

You can see the deluge of negative comments via Dying Fetus‘ Instagram and Suicide Silence‘s Instagram. Speaking on social media this morning (June 05th), Terrible himself responded to the negative response that has been taking over the social media of the aforementioned bands social media in light of the tour’s announcement earlier this week:

“I went to @suicidesilence and @dyingfetusofficial pages and read all hate comments from people. They mad about our own headline tour

Listen I grew up with suicide silence music and never imagined they will open for my band. To be honest I still don’t know how to react for this and for me personally I prefer touring without any support bands. Just us and we did it a lot of times already and sell out big Venues wich is very very good. But people always complained it was just us and they want more. Well our team worked it out and asked sick bands to tour with us and now people complain this band touring with us coz of US in our own tour WHAT THE FFFFFF”
