With their lineup once again solidified, British goth metal outfit Paradise Lost‘s music video for their new song “Silence Like The Grave” has debuted. That track comes from the band’s forthcoming 17th studio album “Ascension“, which they will release on September 19th via Nuclear Blast.
Vocalist Nick Holmes summed up the record as follows, “‘Ascension‘ is a cavalcade of molten misery, a vigorous sorrow filled stroll through a wicked world of glorious triumph and pitiful tragedy.”
Ash Pears directed the below music video for this first single from the outing. As for the album’s cover art, the group chose The Court of Death (1870-1902) by British artist George Frederic Watts, which hangs in the Tate Gallery in London, UK. The band’s own guitarist/keyboardist Gregor Mackintosh took on the production duties for this opus.
