Stephen Brodsky of Cave In, Mutoid Man, etc. fame indulged in some more post-hardcore nostalgia with the newest entry in his series of acoustic covers. Texas Is The Reason‘s 1996 track “Nickel Wound” was his selection this time out, and he shared the following anecdote about it:
“‘Nickel Wound‘ by Texas Is The Reason. I remember Cave In’s first session w/Brian McTernan in 1995 when he played for us a new band that he’d just recorded. My takeaways were ‘damn, this is good!’ and ‘damn, why doesn’t our recording sound like that?!'”
