Two members of the Crahan family are absent on Slipknot‘s just launched ‘Knotfest Australia‘ run down under. The Iowan masked metal band’s percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan didn’t partake in last night’s tour opener in Melbourne, AUS. Likewise, his son Simon, drummer of Vended, has sat out the run in light of a ‘family emergency.’ While Slipknot haven’t put out a statement on the matter, Vended, who are among the opening acts of that run, shared the following last night:

Unfortunately due to a family emergency Simon will not be performing with us in Australia.
We will continue with a fill in drummer for the next few shows thank you for understanding, see you soon.
