Angst Fabrik has been chosen as the name for the new band being spearheaded by Christian Olde Wolbers. Known for his time in Fear Factory, Powerflo, Vio-lence and more, Wolbers officially announced the project yesterday, February 24th. The name is currently viewed as a ‘working title’, with a debut album expected in 2026.
Word of the project arrives just as Wolbers vacated his position in Vio-lence. There’s no music to be shared yet, but Wolbers did reveal the below logo, which seemingly recalls an air of past Fear Factory designs. Given the German translation of the band’s current moniker (‘Fear Factory’), this should be no surprise. Wolbers has had a contentious legal past with his ex-Fear Factory bandmates, but most recently seemingly reconnected with Burton C. Bell, who previously fronted Fear Factory.
