Belmont have taken the spot vacated by SeeYouSpaceCowboy on this spring’s ‘Return Of The Robot Tour‘, which features Dance Gavin Dance, The Home Team and Dwellings. The initial addition of SeeYouSpaceCowboy to that trek turned out to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for that band, with the sasscore outfit seemingly having broken up in result of the backlash for the booking.
SeeYouSpaceCowboy drew criticism for signing onto the tour, given their own past stance against bands with sexual misconduct allegations. Accepting this particular tour proved controversial to some, given how Dance Gavin Dance previously handled misconduct allegations made against their now former vocalist Tilian Pearson. In light of the controversy over the tour, SeeYouSpaceCowboy vocalist Connie Sgarbossa appears to have quit the band.
