Multi-platinum musician/actor Ice-T has had a diverse career, from the military and pimping in his early years to becoming a gangsta rap icon, a heavy metal frontman with his controversial Grammy Award-winning rap metal outfit Body Count, and a tenured actor.
With an over two decade run portraying a detective on ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit‘ contrasting heavily with his outspoken past, which includes the highly provocative Body Count anti-police brutality track “Cop Killer“, it is perhaps somewhat interesting to see how he handled business after being pulled over by a police officer.
In newly surfaced bodycam footage of a traffic stop involving him from last year, it would appear that while respectful at the start, the situation quickly deteriorated, leading to a heated physical exchange and a commanding officer being called to the scene to deescalate the situation. As seen in the below footage, the traffic stop resulted from Ice-T not having the proper paperwork, license and registration for his automobile.
In the footage, Ice-T also argued that he was on his way to the DMV to correct the issue at the time of the traffic stop. Ultimately the 66-year-old star was issued four tickets in relation to his expired license, registration, missing plates and a lack of inspection. In light of the footage recently going up online, Ice-T himself briefly commented on it on social media, offering:
That’s a year old… lol
