Given their imagery, lyrical content, and decades or two of debauchery on the road, you generally you wouldn’t associate Slipknot with young children. However, a recent round of charitable donations on behalf of the multi-platinum masked metal outfit saw percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan spend some time with youngsters in the Joshua Tree, CA area.
The group recently donated an undisclosed sum to Boys and Girls Club Hi-Desert, and $7,277.00 to the Joshua Tree No Kill Animal Shelter.
The aforementioned money came about as a portion of the proceeds from the band’s April 25th, 2024 show at Pappy + Harriets in Pioneertown, CA. That intimate surprise performance kicked off the band’s current 25th anniversary celebrations and also saw the live debut of the latest member of the nine: drummer Eloy Casagrande (ex-Sepultura).
