Sessions for new material from NOLA-based sludge metal supergroup Down are getting more serious, with all of the band’s members having recently holed up in the home studio of their frontman Phil Anselmo (also of Pantera, etc. fame.)
The group’s lineup includes Pepper Keenan (Corrosion Of Conformity) and Kirk Windstein (Crowbar, etc., bassist Pat Bruders (ex-Crowbar, etc.) and drummer Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod, etc.).
Bower has shared some photos from the aforementioned Nodferatu’s Lair over the weekend, with the full band having apparently been on site for this latest round of writing/recording. Down last released new music back in 2014.
