Avenged Sevenfold have earned some more accolades in the United States. The multi-platinum alternative metal group have newly received a pair of new certifications from the RIAA, both of which come from their platinum-certified 2013 album, “Hail To The King“. First up, the title track to that album has newly gone 3x multi-platinum. It was last certified 2x multi-platinum in May of 2021.
Also earing new hardware from that record is the song “This Means War“, which has now officially gone gold. Both of these latest certifications were issued today, August 23rd.
A platinum album/single in the United States represents 1,000,000 units, while gold signifies 500,000 units. Outside of traditional physical/digital sales, the certifications factor in digital streams/downloads with 10 permanent track downloads counting as 1 unit and 1500 on-demand audio/video streams from a particular album also counting as as a unit.
