A benefit shirt recently launched by multi-platinum American metal band Avenged Sevenfold for the people of Ukraine has proven successful. That humanitarian gesture has seen the band in part raise funds for numerous bulletproof vests. The shirt in question was illustrated by Ukrainian artist Crypto Vandals is available here.
The band personally matched the donation made for each shirt bought. According to Avenged Sevenfold vocalist M. Shadows, those proceeds bought “many bullet proof vests for the Ukrainian people to save lives.” The benefit campaign was of course undertaken amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine following Russia’s invasion of the country earlier this year.
