Several prominent stars of the grunge scene have united in a new supergroup dubbed 3rd Secret. The outfit finds guitarist Kim Thayil (Soundgarden), drummer Matt Cameron (Soundgarden/Pearl Jam) and bassist Krist Novoselic (ex-Nirvana) teaming up. Also featured in the lineup is guitarist Jon “Bubba” Dupree (ex-Void) and vocalists Jennifer Johnson and Jillian Raye, who perform with Novoselic in his more recent endeavor, Giants In The Trees.
The band recently performed a surprise set this past weekend in Seattle, WA and went on to release their self-titled debut album tonight.
