Huntsmen have a new EP titled “The Dying Pines” headed for an April 22nd release through Prosthetic Records. Recording sessions for it took place at Electrical Audio and Hypercube with Sanford Parker (YOB, Eyehategod) at the helm. In addition to the title track, that effort will also feature “Let The Buried Lie Forgotten” and a cover of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young‘s “Carry On“.

In related news, the band have also launched a new vinyl pressing of their debut album “American Scrap” via Bandcamp.

The group commented:

“The past couple of years have been a challenge for everyone across the board, with such uncertainty and considerable loss, we all had a chance to reflect on the past and were able to draw creative inspiration from it. Such themes are present in a lot of our songwriting and are an echo of what is in front of us.”

The outfit will also be performing “American Scrap” in full at this year’s ‘Roadburn Festival‘ in Tilburg, NET on April 24th. Their current live plans include:

04/09 Chicago, IL – Empty Bottle
04/24 Tilburg, NET – Roadburn (performing “American Scrap“)
05/01 London, UK – Desertfest
