Devil Master‘s new full-length album “Ecstasies Of Never Ending Night” has been slated for an April 29th release date through Relapse Records. The group recorded the effort live to analog tape with Pete DeBoer (Blood Incantation, Spectral Voice) manning the boards. Your first sampling of what’s to come from the outing arrives in the form of the below single “Acid Black Mass” and its Erica Frevel directed music video.
Speaking of the song, the band’s lead guitarist Darkest Pricce commented: “It’s Japanese metal-punk d-beat meets black metal. There’s plenty of GISM and MOBS in there, but also Celtic Frost and Gorgoroth.”
The group’s lineup has underwent some significant changes since the band’s 2019 effort, most notably with the addition of drummer/keyboardist Festering Terror In Deepest Catacomb (aka Chris Ulsh of Power Trip/Iron Age.) The band’s vocalist Disembody Through Unparalleled Pleasure has also now assumed the bassist role, while rhythm guitarist Infernal Moonlight Apparition completes the lineup.
Speaking of the this new opus, Prince offered:
“This album is more mature and self-confident. It’s moving past childish Satanism towards a more mature dark spirituality. This one is not relying on stereotypical tropes. It’s a real magickal experience.”
He continued:
“This and the last album are mirrored opposites, right down to the titles. There’s even an instrumental in the middle of the album, like last time. I believe in balance, so there’s a spiritual aspect to it. And it just feels good.”
