Earlier this week Crossbreed posted that they would be reuniting for a one-off reunion show somewhere in Cleveland, OH later this year. However, the band made the announcement on April 01st, which led to the amount of confusion you’d expect. The band’s frontman James Rietz has since further clarified that the post is genuine and that a new song is also in the works. He commented:
“SO, as I posted yesterday and most thought was an APRIL FOOL’s prank, it was not! HA HA!
I will be performing for 1 night only in Cleveland (STEVELAND) as CROSSBREED with some familiar faces, for no other reason than to ROCK!
PLEASE, no offers to fill in, It’s 1 show, it’s covered already with some band members, and other special guests.
Working on a new song with Seven Dunbar that I’ve always wanted to do, currently in production. When it’s done, video time!!!!
WHY? Why the fuck not! Tired of watching all the nu-metal bands, having all the fun, and I want in…..for 1 NIGHT ONLY!”
