Last weekend a man broke into the home shared by Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack and his wife Juliet Simms. The theft occurred late at night while Biersack and his wife were at home sleeping when the thief made off with various Black Veil Brides memorabilia from Biersack‘s personal collection, including old stage outfits and more.
Speaking recently with Altpress.com, Biersack remains saddened by the theft and plans to move, feeling uncomfortable about how much knowledge the thief seemed to have of his residence. But aside from beefing up his home security, he was ready to joke about the ridiculousness of some of the items that were stolen, at one point quipping: “What are you going to do with that? A bunch of useless Walmart women’s jackets I hand-studded in a van in 2008?”
Speaking further on the items that were stolen, he said of reporting the theft to the police:
“So I say, ‘I’m a musician, and I lost a bunch of my things; they got stolen.’ And [the police] say, ‘OK, so what is it? Equipment? Clothes?’ Yeah, clothes. ‘Can you describe the clothes?’ Well, in 2008 when we were on tour, a lot of our clothes were getting really gross. So we went to Walmart and it turns out that Miley Cyrus—who was on Hannah Montana at the time—did a clothing line that featured black jeans. We bought 20 pairs of those black jeans and studded them ourselves, and I value them at a billion dollars. See? There’s no way I can do that. So I just go, ‘Yeah, I lost some shit.’”
He continued:
“…It is what it is. I have to look at it and laugh. Honestly, he left almost everything—except for the Miley Cyrus pants and a couple of vests. I guess the hope is that I get to keep going long enough that I’ll be old geriatric guy In Miley Cyrus pants, and I won’t need to show the old ones because I’ve got the new ones.”
Biersack later took to Twitter to show-off the pants in question:
I think i got the timeline wrong on these pants it was 09/10 but still you make due when you’re a broke band first starting out. Thanks Walmart and Hannah Montana/sorry someone stole these old sweaty things ?? https://t.co/tsLWmv4oTo pic.twitter.com/ACI7jFn3KO
