Metallica took to the stage with Lady Gaga tonight at the 59th annual Grammy Awards. Together they performed “Moth Into Flame” with footage available below. As you’ll see, they also encountered a few technical hiccups, with a seemingly frustrated vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield throwing his guitar at the end of his performance.
Meanwhile, Metallica won’t be taking home a Grammy tonight as their track “Hardwired” didn’t win the ‘Best Rock Song’ performance. That honor instead went to David Bowie for “Blackstar“. The other nominees included:
