Rage Against The Machine (and now Prophets Of Rage) guitarist Tom Morello will headline a concert in protest of the Trans-Pacific Partnership—a rather secretive trade agreement between 12 countries that has wide sweeping effects on everything from the internet to medicine and more. The first date of the planned tour will take place at the Summit Music Hall in Denver, CO on July 23rd. In addition to Morello, actress Evangeline Lilly (‘Lost‘, ‘Ant-Man‘,) Anti-Flag and more will also be on the bill. Morello commented:
“Working people everywhere have had enough. The TPP is nothing short of a corporate takeover of our democracy. That’s why people are rising up to stop it. Corporate lobbyists want to sneak the TPP through Congress quietly; that means it’s time for us to get loud.”
