Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack has announced that his new solo album under his Andy Black moniker has been titled “The Shadow Side” and will meet a May 06th release date on Lava/Republic. Guest appearances tapped for the effort include: 5 Seconds Of Summer drummer Ashton Irwin, ex-My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way, Fall Out Boy singer Patrick Stump, All Time Low drummer Rian Dawson and The Used guitarist Quinn Allman.
Pre-orders can be found now at andyblackmusic.com and dates for a U.S. tour were also just announced and can be found here. If you’re hoping for an extension of Biersack‘s work in Black Veil Brides, be warned, it is not a similar venture as Biersack recently told teamrock.com:
“Sonically, the goal was to really play with music and a lot of different stuff – to have a lot of odd instrumentation and to have a lot of programmed stuff, keyboards and more classic, almost pop-rock guitar. It’s more U2 than Megadeth.”
