Amon Amarth‘s new single “Eight Legs Of Thunder” has come galloping out the gate. That track, as with most things from the Swedish melodic death metal band, is inspired by Norse mythology, in particular Sleipnir, the eight-legged of Norse god Odin. Director Dariusz Szermanowicz (Behemoth, Kreator) was once again hired on by the band for this clip, and had the following to say about it:
“With ‘Eight Legs Of Thunder‘, together with the band, we wanted to break the traditional metal music video mold once again. We fused the raw, dusty vibe of a modern western with the epic, dark mythology of Oden’s eight-legged steed. It’s a high-octane, cinematic ride packed with cowboy tension, raw action, and a touch of dark humor. We didn’t just want to make a music video—we wanted to deliver a visual knockout.”
This track is a part of the band’s forthcoming album “The Allfather Awakens“, which Metal Blade Records intend to have out on October 02nd.
