Hypocrisy‘s plans to tour North America with Dimmu Borgir and more this summer have been scuttled. The Swedish melodic death metallers have announced they encountered visa issues which prevented them from touring the region. A statement issued by Hypocrisy today, August 03rd, reads as follows:
“Due to visa issues beyond our control, we won’t be able to make it to the North American tour.
We’re devastated, and truly sorry – we did everything we could.
We’re not giving up. We’ll keep working to make this right and get to you as soon as we can!

Hypocrisy had intended to both tour with Dimmu Borigr, Suffocation & Hulder, later this month and also set out for a number of headlining performances of their own.
