Slipknot percussionist M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan has launched a cryptic new teaser site at theclown.com. Fans are still trying to get to the bottom of the matter, though it appears to be tied into a new project. To that end, an apparently AI-assisted video for a song titled “Un Life” from a project dubbed O’ Day Monster featuring Crahan has just cropped up online as well. Further details on the project have yet to emerge, though a website for the venture has been shared via odaymonster.ai. Last December saw Clown openly speaking about embracing AI in music, offering in part:
“What’s the difference between me pulling out my pocket producer [AI]… or me trying to get a famous producer that might not even work with me and could potentially cost me $150,000… who will only give me one or two ways – I’m not mentioning any names!”
He further went on to say:
“Our generation is going to hem and haw about AI. Do you think some kid in fourth grade who’s grown up on it agrees with you and I about how horrible AI is? This is the implemented tool of life today.”
