(hed)p.e. are set to follow-up their 2023 album “Detox” in a thematic fashion. The g-punk band’s vocalist Jared Gomes has newly announced that their next record will be titled “Relapse” and work on it has been completed. Gomes went on to say of the record:
“Relapse is done
The new record is titled Relapse.
So much time invested.
There were tears of pain and tears of joy.
We smashed and destroyed shit on this one.It was like going to therapy. But it was also like escaping rehab and road tripping on a bender.
Life is a beautiful struggle.
Relationships with chemicals.
Relationships with the ones we love. It’s all on this record.
I just can’t wait for y’all to hear it.
i’m so freaking excited for yall to hear this one i swear.”
In the below social media post announcing the project, Gomes was called out for using an image made using AI. When one fan commented, “i doubt making a cover is that expensive man, why the ai?”, the official (hed)p.e. account replied directly, “it’s a picture no one said cover cry somewhere else.”
