Six concertgoers who attended Angine de Portrine‘s packed free concert at Place des Festivals in Montreal, QC this past Saturday, June 27th, were taken to hospital in serious condition. The concert was staged as part of the annual ‘Montreal International Jazz Festival‘ and the turnout for the polka dot-adorned psych rock duo met capacity 30 minutes before the set kicked off. Reporting from the The Montreal Gazette noted that no single incident caused the aforementioned injuries and that no lives were in danger. The types of injuries were also not disclosed.
The aforementioned festival’s director Maurin Auxéméry went on to state that the turnout for Angine de Potrine‘s set was the largest the festival has seen since they hosted Stevie Wonder back in 2009 for a crowd of 200,000.
